According to the Japanese Association for Solar Power (JPEA) the statistical results showed that Japanese companies are JPEA members in 2009 first quarter (April ~ June) solar cell and module supplier by 10% compared with a year earlier, reaching 84.6MW. Exports fell by 6% year on year has fallen 201.4MW, while for Japan’s domestic shipments have increased 83% year on year, reaching 83.3MW. The reason is to restore Japan’s grant system, laptop battery was active in the domestic market trends.
From the different types of point of view, poly-silicon type solar cell supply increased by 7% compared with a year earlier, VGP-BPS9A battery reaching 149.4MW, monocrystalline silicon class year increased by 8% to 97.7MW, thin-film silicon-year increase of 31% category, to 33.6 MW. Compound class and others Sony laptop battery, JPEA classified as “other” type of an increase of 38%, to 4.0MW.
